Our last smoothie of the challenge, hopefully not the last one in our life’s
We’ve all heard about vitamin C being important for our immune system, reason why many of you start taking supplemental vitamin C when you feel a flu is coming. When we have a proper and balanced diet, flus and viruses are just so sporadical is just more than worth it. A good nutrition provides the necessary needs of all the vitamins, including vitamin C. Today’s yellow smoothies provides not only that, but a good amount of Thiamine (Vit. B1) and Vitamin B6. Vitamin B1 is essential for nerve signal conduction, muscle contraction, plus it plays a very important role in the process of converting carbohydrates into instant energy. And that gives space to something I tell my patients often, we can be fed but not necessarily nourished. Vitamin B6 plays an important role in the immune system, plus it’s involved in the creation of hemoglobin, reason why a deficiency of it causes a type of anemia.

1 Frozen Banana
1 Cup of Sweet Orange Juice
1/2 Cup of Pineapple
1. Add all the ingredients to the blender and blend. The consistency of this smoothies is a little bit more liquid than the others we’ve made just because it has orange juice. If you would like a smoother consistency try adding just 1/2 cup or orange juice.
