Chia is becoming a very known seed this days, which is why we are finding it at our local stores more frequently. Recent studies are showing that chia seeds play a very important role in energetic and anti-inflamatory processes. A study showed how athletes that consume chia frequently reported higher energy levels, and patients that suffer arthritis reported less pain, thus to the high concentration of omega3’s that contribute to the production of the type of Prostaglandins that reduce inflammation. Personally I do recommend chia not only because of its super high nutritional values, but also because it is a magical seed that comes pretty handy when cooking different meals, not just as a topping. If you’ve never tried it, when you leave the chia seed in a liquid mix they become gooey like a pudding. It can be used to bake some type of cakes or breads, but today we want to share a super easy fast way to make a pudding. You can have it as part of you breakfast or as a snack. Promise you will love it :)

Chia Pudding (Serves 1)

Ingredientes:

  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup almond or soy milk
  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon of agave syrup (or honey if you don’t mind)

Directions:

1. Stir all de ingredients into a cup, jar or bowl. Leave overnight in the fridge or at least 30 minutes if your in a hurry. Add fruits and nuts on top. Enjoy :)
